As mentioned above, this article is about Tiger Woods’ apology from earlier today and not about a new Tiger Woods casino game. Although, the latter could be not too far away… Online Casinos and gaming software providers could be working on something as we speak to commemorate this grandiose event. If any providers are reading this, please get a Tiger Woods game into production.

Today marked a sad day for golf when one of it’s biggest stars finally faced the music (“the media”) and came out of hiding to apologize to his friends, family, colleagues, business partners and his fans for his “Transgressions”. Let’s cut to the chase and really say what it was for… …he basically apologized for cheating on his wife, over and over and over and over and over…well you get the point. At the end of the day people, he is Tiger Woods and these temptations are always going to be there for him or anyone who has his kind of fame, money and popularity. It is what it is folks and most of us would rather be Tiger Woods so let’s not kid ourselves.

We all have this image that Tiger is strong because he can hit the heck out of a golf ball thanks to his big driver. Well, it turns out that off the course, Tiger and his “Driver” are weak and can easily give in when the right hole comes along. Alas, he is male and males have weaknesses. A man of his stature should have known better. Should of, could of, didn’t.

As a golfer and golfing fan myself, I’ve always been in awe of Tiger. His natural talent is remarkable and unquestionable. Will his actions make me less of a fan? Will I no longer root for him for what he has done? I think we would all agree that what he’s done was not right. Obviously, the word “not right” just seems so soft given everything that has transpired since the “so called” car accident.

At the end of the day, the verdict is quite simple:

Tiger is the best golfer in the game and he is great at what he does. Golfing fans know this and still appreciate what he can and should continue to accomplish in golf. So let’s move one and get Tiger Woods back on the fairway ASAP.

On the other hand, as a husband, he has failed. A man does not cheat unless he is unhappy or not getting what he needs at home. In the words of Wayne and Garth of Wayne’s World: He’s not worthy, he’s not worthy! He’s not the first who has cheated nor will he be the last. Sadly for Tiger, he’s just the one who got caught.

Questions such as:

Will he be forgiven? (In time, like most things, this too shall pass but will not be forgotten)
When will he return to the game of Golf? (Hopefully after the Masters as we have a little wager on one of his competitors)
Will his sponsors stick by him? (Yes they will, he is a marketing machine)
Can his marriage be salvaged?(Mmmmmmm…..)
And many more remain to be answered.
